Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EaseToolz at easetoolz.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

EaseToolz provides browser-based file conversion tools. All conversions occur entirely within your browser using WebAssembly. We offer both a free tier and paid subscription plans ("Pro") with enhanced limits.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account.
• One person or legal entity per account unless you are on an Enterprise plan.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Convert or process files to which you do not have the right or licence.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond the official API.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive source code from the Service.
• Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our written permission.

5. Free Tier Limits

The free tier includes:

• 10 conversions per day (browser-based)
• Maximum file size: 100 MB
• Maximum 3 files per batch conversion
• Advertisements are displayed

Limits are enforced per IP address for anonymous users and per account for registered users.

6. Pro Subscription

• Pro plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
• Pricing is as displayed on the Pricing page.
• A 7-day free trial is available — no credit card required for the trial period.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You will receive a renewal reminder 7 days before each billing date.
• You may cancel at any time via your Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect immediately.
• Downgrade to the free tier is always instant — no lock-in.

7. Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee with no questions asked for all paid plans. To request a refund, email [email protected] within 7 days of your payment. Refunds are not available for renewals where a refund for the initial payment was already issued.

8. Intellectual Property

EaseToolz and its content (logo, UI, documentation) are owned by us and protected by copyright. You retain all rights to your own files. Because conversions happen locally in your browser, we never receive, store, or gain any rights to your files.

The WASM libraries used (FFmpeg, pdf-lib, Tesseract.js) are open-source and distributed under their respective licences.

9. API Usage

Use of the EaseToolz API is subject to additional API Terms and rate limits based on your plan. API keys must not be shared publicly.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EaseToolz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EaseToolz and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India, unless applicable consumer protection law in your country provides for local jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance via email (for account holders). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
