Privacy Policy

1. Overview

EaseToolz ("we", "our", "us") operates the website easetoolz.com and provides browser-based file conversion tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and CCPA (California).

🔒 Core Privacy Promise: All file conversions happen entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never transmitted over the internet. We cannot access your files — technically impossible.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data: Email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Google OAuth.
  • Payment data: Billing details are processed by Stripe (international) or Razorpay (India). We do not store card numbers — only a customer ID reference.
  • Contact messages: If you contact us via the contact form, we receive your email and message.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, tool used, country, device type). IP addresses are anonymised.
  • Error tracking: Sentry may collect error reports with browser version and stack traces (no file data).
  • Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp) retained for 30 days for security purposes.
  • Cookies and localStorage: See our Cookie Policy for full details.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your files or file contents (conversion is 100% local)
  • Precise geolocation
  • Sensitive personal data (health, biometric, financial beyond payment processing)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the EaseToolz service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, renewal reminders, password resets)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

4. Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Contract performance: Processing your account data to provide the service.
  • Legitimate interests: Analytics, security, fraud prevention.
  • Consent: Marketing emails (you can withdraw at any time).
  • Legal obligation: Tax records, DMCA compliance.
