Why we built this
The story starts with a frustrating experience that most of us have had: you need to quickly convert a file — a photo from your phone, a PDF to sign, a video to share — and you turn to an online tool. You upload your file. You wait. You download the result. Simple enough.
But think about what just happened. Your file — which might contain personal information, confidential documents, private photos, or sensitive business data — just travelled to a stranger's server somewhere in the world. You have no idea how long it was kept, who could access it, or whether it was truly deleted.
We thought: there has to be a better way. And there is. Modern browsers support WebAssembly — a technology that lets complex software run at near-native speed directly in the browser tab. FFmpeg (the professional video tool), pdf-lib, Tesseract OCR, and other powerful libraries can all run locally. No server needed.
EaseToolz is the result of that conviction. Every one of our 71 tools runs entirely inside your browser. We physically cannot see your files — our servers never receive them.
How the "no upload" thing actually works
Even if we wanted to collect your files, we cannot — the architecture makes it technically impossible without your browser flagging it as suspicious network activity.
