Why EaseToolz?
There are many situations where a PDF is the wrong format. You need an image, not a document. Social media platforms do not accept PDFs. Image editors cannot open PDFs. Presentation tools like Canva, Keynote, and PowerPoint work with images, not documents. WhatsApp, Instagram, and messaging apps show images inline — PDFs require a separate app to open. Converting PDF to JPG solves all of these scenarios by turning each PDF page into a high-quality image file. EaseToolz does this conversion entirely in your browser using pdf.js — no upload, no server, completely private.
**How PDF to JPG conversion works**
EaseToolz uses pdf.js — Mozilla's open-source PDF rendering engine — to render each page of your PDF onto an HTML5 Canvas element inside your browser. Each rendered canvas is then exported as a JPEG image at your chosen quality setting. All pages are packaged into a single ZIP file for easy download. The entire process happens locally in your browser tab, with no data transmitted to any server.
**Quality and resolution**
The quality slider controls two aspects of the output. First, the render scale — higher quality settings render pages at higher pixel density (up to 2× the PDF's native resolution), producing sharper images especially for text-heavy pages. Second, the JPEG compression — lower quality settings reduce file size at the cost of image sharpness. For most uses, the default setting produces excellent results. For printing or high-fidelity archiving, use maximum quality.
**Common use cases**
Sharing PDF content on social media: extract key pages from a report or presentation as images for LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads, or Instagram carousels. Creating thumbnails: the first page of a PDF is commonly used as a preview thumbnail in apps, websites, and marketplaces. Editing in image software: import PDF pages into Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, or Figma by first converting to JPG. Extracting charts and diagrams: pull specific pages containing graphs or infographics from research papers or annual reports. Presenting without software: display PDF content in a context where only images are supported — digital signage, e-commerce listings, or presentation templates.
**All pages at once**
EaseToolz converts every page of the PDF in a single operation. A 20-page PDF produces 20 JPG images, named page-001.jpg through page-020.jpg, packaged in a ZIP file. There is no manual page selection — the tool processes the entire document. If you need only specific pages, use the PDF Page Extractor tool first to extract those pages, then convert to JPG.
**Password-protected PDFs**
Password-protected PDFs cannot be converted directly. Use the PDF Unlock tool to remove the password first, then convert. Both tools run in your browser, so the combined operation is still completely private.
**Privacy for sensitive PDF content**
PDFs often contain confidential information — financial statements, legal documents, medical records, private correspondence. Uploading these to a cloud-based "PDF to image" converter means a third party processes and potentially retains your sensitive content. EaseToolz renders everything locally in your browser using pdf.js. No page content is transmitted anywhere. When you close the tab, the data is gone.
**File size limit and supported PDFs**
Free users can convert PDFs up to 50MB. The tool handles text PDFs, image PDFs, mixed-content PDFs, and scanned document PDFs. It does not support encrypted PDFs — unlock first. Supports single-page and multi-page PDFs with no page count limit.
**No signup, no watermark, free forever**
PDF to JPG conversion on EaseToolz is free for everyone. No account is required, no watermark is placed on the output images, and there is no daily conversion limit for free users.
